The Lancaster Community Orchestra is a non-profit 501 (c)  (3) Corporation.

 

Purpose: To provide a learning and playing venue for the beginning to advanced level players.  Age groups are from 9 to 99.

Other opportunities exist here in the valley but they are for the very advanced to professional level players.  It was felt that the beginning, intermediate and advanced players did not have the opportunity to learn and play their instruments. in an orchestral setting

 

Goal:  To provide an opportunity for community members to be a part of an orchestra and to learn about the music and its history as well as performance techniques.  Music is from classical to Pop as well as show tunes.

Additionally, we would like to encourage local businesses to become financial partners.  Our expenses are for our conductor, the purchase of music, rental of a practice facility and liability insurance.
