Lynn Ennis earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Education from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Arts degree in flute performance from New York University in New York City.  She has studied with Eleanor Lawrence (New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), Paige Brook (New York Philharmonic), Gerardo Levy (New York City Opera Orchestra) and Janet Ferguson (Los Angeles Philharmonic).  After moving to Los Angeles in 1982, Ms. Ennis free lanced with the Burbank Symphony ad the Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera.  She also founded the first flute newsletter in L.A., the “Los Angeles Flute News Network,” and was editor until 1992.  From 1986-1992 Ms. Ennis coordinated the annual flute master classes conducted by Louis Moyse at California State University at Long Beach and performed with the Southern California Flute Orchestra.  In 1990, Ms. Ennis was appointed adjunct flute instructor at Antelope Valley College, where she teaches applied flute lessons, music appreciation and music history, in addition to conducting the Antelope Valley Flute Choir.  Ms. Ennis has performed regularly with the Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra, Desert Opera Theater and Cedar Street Theater.  Ms. Ennis was invited to conduct Lancaster Community Orchestra in Lancaster, California.
